Tacroz 0.03% (10 gm) is a topical ointment used to treat moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) and other inflammatory skin conditions. It contains tacrolimus, an immunosuppressant that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals in the skin that cause inflammation. Tacroz helps reduce symptoms such as itching, redness, and swelling, providing relief from flare-ups of eczema without the use of steroids.
- Avoid sun exposure: Tacroz may increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors.
- Do not use on open skin: Avoid applying Tacroz to broken or infected skin.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before using Tacroz if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Immunosuppressive conditions: If you have a weakened immune system, use this product with caution and under medical supervision.
- Allergy: If you are allergic to tacrolimus or any of the ingredients in Tacroz, do not use the ointment.
- Common side effects: Burning or stinging at the application site, itching, redness, or irritation.
